If you like old towns, yes. San Cristóbal de La Laguna is a UNESCO World Heritage site about 20 minutes from Santa Cruz by tram or taxi, with well-preserved colonial streets and a calmer pace than the port city. It pairs well with a half-day in Santa Cruz itself.
More than you'd expect. The Auditorio de Tenerife, Plaza de España with its reflecting pool, the pedestrian shopping district, the Mercado de Nuestra Señora de África (a covered market good for local food), and the Museo de la Naturaleza y el Hombre are all reachable on foot. It's an easy port to enjoy without spending a euro on transport.
Loro Parque is in Puerto de la Cruz, on the island's north coast — not in Santa Cruz. It's a longer transfer of roughly 45 minutes to an hour by road, so it's a full-day outing best booked as an excursion. If your stop is short, it may not be realistic.
