Celebration Key is Carnival's $600M private bay on Grand Bahama's south shore, 65 acres of purpose-built beach that opened in July 2025 and only flies one flag.
One Island Eats lunch per guest is included (entree, fries, cookie), and free water stations sit near the food courts. Everything else — soda, beer, cocktails, bottled water, a second meal — is à la carte, and your shipboard Cheers! or Bottomless Bubbles package does not work onshore.
The island is cashless. Charges hit your Sail & Sign card and include 18% service plus 10% Bahamian VAT. Pearl Cove Beach Club has its own all-inclusive day pass sold as a shore excursion if you want unlimited drinks in one place.

Bahamian taxis line up at the Lokono Cove transport hub for runs to Port Lucaya, Gold Rock Beach, Garden of the Groves, and Lucayan National Park. Bahamian taxi rates are government-regulated by zone — agree the fare before getting in. Cruise-line shore excursions remain the only path with a guaranteed return-to-ship.

No taxis or independent transport off the property. Off-island trips to Lucayan National Park, Gold Rock Beach, Garden of the Groves, and Port Lucaya (~45 minutes' drive) must be booked through Carnival's shore-excursion system.
Purpose-built pier accommodates two of Carnival's largest ships at the same time; you walk off directly into Paradise Plaza. A pier extension to add two more berths is under construction.

Pearl Cove cabanas start around $999.99 for up to four guests. The Super Villa runs about $2,799.99 for up to seven. Pearl Cove day passes (Open Bar or All-Inclusive) are sold as separate shore excursions; the open-bar pass caps at ten alcoholic drinks per person.
Only on a Carnival-sold shore excursion. Lucayan National Park, Gold Rock Beach, Garden of the Groves, and Port Lucaya Marketplace are all bookable as guided tours — the park is roughly a 45-minute drive. There are no taxis at the pier and no independent way off; if you want to roam Grand Bahama on your own, book Freeport instead.
Yes. The pier was built to berth two of Carnival's largest ships simultaneously, and an extension to handle two more is under construction. On peak days expect 10,000+ guests on the island at once.
