Insider Tips

Things seasoned cruisers wish they knew

Wi-Fi

Basic WiFi in the All Included package only covers browsing and social media. If you need video calls or streaming, you must upgrade to Premium WiFi at additional cost.

All Drinks

Drink package prices do not include the 20% service charge, which is added at purchase. The package must be purchased for the full cruise duration with no refund for unused days.

Gratuities

Celebrity removed daily gratuities from the 'All Included' package in late 2023. Only beverage package gratuities are covered. Daily cabin gratuities are now an extra charge even for All Included guests.

Room Service

Free continental breakfast is the only complimentary option. Zenith-level Captains Club members and Retreat (suite) guests are exempt from the $9.95 fee.

Specialty Dining

A 20% gratuity is automatically added to all specialty dining charges. Even with the All Included package, specialty dining is an extra cost.

Tipping

Daily gratuities ($18-19/person/day) are no longer included in the 'All Included' package as of late 2023. This is a significant change that catches returning cruisers off guard.

Booking

Celebrity offers two pricing tiers: 'Cruise Only' (bare fare) and 'All Included' (adds drinks, WiFi, gratuities on beverages). Compare both carefully; All Included is not always the better deal depending on your consumption.

Policy Change

A 20% service charge is added to drink package purchases and is not included in the advertised drink package price. This can add $50+ per person on a 7-night sailing.

General

Solo travelers still pay for a full drink and WiFi package under All Included pricing but cannot get a refund for the 'unused' second-person benefit. No double amenities for solo bookings.

Reviews & AI Summary

4.5
Ship rating

The ship that transformed Celebrity Cruises. Introduced the outward-facing design revolution with Infinite Veranda, Magic Carpet, and Eden — a multi-story venue merging nature and entertainment. Sleek, modern, and genuinely different.
